Customs Agent

Location: Can be based out of any of our Canadian Offices, (Reporting into Montreal) Department: Customs

We are looking for a Customs Agent will support the customs department in managing incoming requests from clients and other stakeholders. You will be triaging requests coming into the central email and sending them to the appropriate agent.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation, customs clearance, and classification of air, ocean, and ground shipments.
• Ensure costs related to the file are indicated on the billing document.
• Ensure the delivery of merchandise.
• Comply with the laws and regulations of the different governments and the ISO standards set out by the company.
• Resource person for clients regarding customs procedures.
• Communicate with different stakeholders in an effort to offer superior service.
• Present innovative solutions to clients.
• Comply with Bollore’s established procedures within required time limits, including ISO norms.
• Communicate, without delay, information or problems, to the immediate supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

· 2-3 years of relevant post-secondary education or experience.

. Canadian Customs experience is required

· Ability to provide exceptional customer service to clients

· Excellent organization skills and be a proactive problem solver

· Ability to manage own time and priorities workload to meet internal and external expectations

· Must be proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office Suite

· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

· Good interpersonal and teamworking skills required
