Position Summary
Working under supervision of senior staff, the Research Analyst I exercises judgment and decision-making in utilizing established policies and procedures to complete well defined tasks. This may include:
Duties
- Conducting telephone and/or clinical recruitment interviews to collect participant data using established criteria.
- Providing detailed notes of all interactions with participants and translating the information to appropriate systems.
- Obtaining medical data on research subjects from registries or other hospitals.
- Coordinating necessary data flow with collaborators from other sites.
- Participating in qualitative analysis of data collected from patients.
- Assisting in the interpretation of results and the preparation of material for presentation, publication and/or grants and carrying out literature searches.
- Assisting in developing a novel telemedicine outreach program for community physician, and performing other duties consistent with job classification, as requested.
Qualifications
- At minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
- At minimum, 1 year related experience.
- Experience with patient recruitment and data collection; qualitative research experience including conducting interviews.
- Experience using statistical analysis and data management software applications preferred.
- Experience with REDCAP preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment.
- Experience with programming, website design an asset.
- Interest in women’s health preferred.
- Detail oriented with excellent organization skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of an inter-professional team.
- Comfortable with learning new systems quickly and efficiently
- Flexibility and willingness to learn.
- Medical or scientific knowledge preferred.
