Position Summary

Working under supervision of senior staff, the Research Analyst I exercises judgment and decision-making in utilizing established policies and procedures to complete well defined tasks. This may include:

Duties

  • Conducting telephone and/or clinical recruitment interviews to collect participant data using established criteria.
  • Providing detailed notes of all interactions with participants and translating the information to appropriate systems.
  • Obtaining medical data on research subjects from registries or other hospitals.
  • Coordinating necessary data flow with collaborators from other sites.
  • Participating in qualitative analysis of data collected from patients.
  • Assisting in the interpretation of results and the preparation of material for presentation, publication and/or grants and carrying out literature searches.
  • Assisting in developing a novel telemedicine outreach program for community physician, and performing other duties consistent with job classification, as requested.

Qualifications

  • At minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
  • At minimum, 1 year related experience.
  • Experience with patient recruitment and data collection; qualitative research experience including conducting interviews.
  • Experience using statistical analysis and data management software applications preferred.
  • Experience with REDCAP preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment.
  • Experience with programming, website design an asset.
  • Interest in women’s health preferred.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of an inter-professional team.
  • Comfortable with learning new systems quickly and efficiently
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Medical or scientific knowledge preferred.
