JOB DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND
RECEIVABLE MANAGER

Job Description

The Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager is responsible for performing accounting functions and activities. This role works closely with the senior management team to manage all accounting functions.
This role requires a high level of discretion and the safeguard of confidential information.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including but not limited to PCI compliance;
  • Oversee financial matters, including but not limited to cash counting and balancing;
  • Perform accounts payable and receivable duties;
  • Conduct bank reconciliations at month’s end;
  • Process payments and HST remittances;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices; and
  • Other tasks as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word;
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities;
  • The ability to work accurately and independently;
  • Prior experience in accounting, accounts payable, and/or accounts receivable is an asset; and
  • Prior experience with Sage Accounting software is an asset.

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kingston, ON K7P 2S8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Accounts receivable: 1 year (preferred)
  • Accounts payable: 1 year (preferred)
