Company Profile: Funny Bones Games Lounge is seeking a Customer Service Representative/Server/Game Player to support recent developments to our core, in-store business. We offer over 1000+ board games and puzzles for sale and rent, along with events, parties, hosted game play packages for private and corporate clients, and much more. There is something exciting for everyone! We offer a great selection of coffees, craft beers, wines, and other beverages, along with various food options and a developing menu. Job Description: The Server/CSR/Game Player will be responsible for a number of tasks including, but not limited to; preparing/serving customers drinks/food; using POS machines to handle transactions; game demos and sales; game support/play/customer management. There are also opportunities to host events and/or Enrichment Programs for the right applicant.
They will be responsible for following all protocols and upholding all procedures Funny Bones has in place. The Server/CSR/Game Player role will also be responsible for facilitating play, promoting game sales/rentals, being able to freely talk about games and recommend games based on the customers interest/needs. We are looking for someone who loves play, games, has serving experience, and is flexible to support in a number of areas. We all do a bit of everything!
Qualifications:
Experience
· Serving experience an asset. Must have (up to date) smart serve
· Game experience/skill (classic games, board games, card games, video games, DnD, Magic, tabletop games etc.)
· Food preparation and Food Handlers Certification considered an asset
Education
· Will always consider the right candidate. Must have applicable skills and experience.
Skills
· Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative and dynamic environment
· Flexible and adaptable to a variety of environments and responsibilities
· Self-confidence and initiative to approach customers to recommend/teach/explain games and support play
· Excellent communication skills
