About the Role Oakberry will be expanding rapidly throughout Western Canada over the next five years, and we are looking for someone to oversee stores in Vancouver and surrounding areas, Reporting to the Director of Operations, the GM of Vancouver will oversee supervisors and store managers throughout the city. They will assist in the development of new properties and manage the ongoing operations of all stores. This role will also oversee stores managers areas around B.C.
Responsibilities
- Hire and oversee store supervisors and managers - Ensure there is employee coverage in each store - Lead local marketing activities - Work with corporate team to manage issues with accounting, payroll, and HR in Vancouver - Manage the P+L for all corporate stores in Vancouver - Communicate and maintain relationships with Oakberry’s franchise support teams - Support teams to manage major customer and employee issues
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previously managed or led people, with results - Understanding of financials and managing a P+L - Can prove they are a strong leader who enjoys influencing and working with people everyday - Will be required to travel within Vancouver frequently, and across North America occasionally
Preferred Skills
- Experience in food service - Experience in customer service fields - Experience with HR, marketing, and accounting - Experience in project management
