We are looking to hire a licensed plumber.
Responsibilities:
- Work involves removing, installing and/or repairing/unblocking plumbing systems (including fixtures and pumps), based on blueprints and specifications.
- Inspecting plumbing systems and identifying issues or potential problems.
- Plumbers will also be expected to mentor apprentices.
- Collaborating with other construction professionals to ensure proper installation and functionality of plumbing systems.
- Performing many types of service calls for residential and commercial customers.
- Following safety protocols and adhere to building codes and regulations.
- Work time is normally Monday to Friday between 7 am and 6 pm, for an average of 7.5 hours daily. However, occasionally, in urgent situations, overtime will be requested outside of normal work hours, for which a premium is paid.
Qualifications:
- Possess a Plumbing Certificate of Qualification in good standing.
- Candidate must have an Ontario G driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Candidate must be physically fit, as plumbing involves physically demanding labour at times.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Candidate must be responsible and have excellent communication skills in English (French an asset).
- Candidate must have a respectful and cordial demeanor towards customers and colleagues.
- Candidate will require up-to-date WHMIS and Working at Heights certifications.
Pay Information:
- Wage range is $40 to $21 per hour, commensurate with Ontario provincial license or apprenticeship status.
